Expecting Justice
Social Media Campaign for Black Maternal Health Week
Black Maternal Health Week occurs annually from April 11th to the 17th, coinciding with National Minority Health Month in the United States. National Minority Health Month is a month-long initiative dedicated to promoting health equity for all racial and ethnic minorities across the country. Moreover, numerous global organizations are actively working towards eradicating maternal mortality worldwide, advocating for the United Nations to officially recognize April 11th as the International Dayf to Maternal Health and Rights.
Using a collage-styled design, the primary objective of Expecting Justice’s social media campaign for Black Maternal Health Week was to amplify the voices of Black mothers and provide affirmations to affirm that we see them, hear them, and are rooting for them. The affirmations are a reminder of how special they are, that they’re doing a great job, and that we are truly in this together.
